We aim to make your experience as easy and straightforward as possible, and will keep you informed of the repair process as outlined below.
What to do if you have an accident
If you and your car are involved in an accident, there are some basic things you need to do.
In case of an accident:
1. Try to stay as calm as you can.
2. Stop straight away and help anyone who’s injured. Call an ambulance (or get someone to call an ambulance) if it’s needed. Tell the Police as soon as possible – and within 24 hours.
3. If an animal has been injured, tell its owner or the person looking after it – and get details of any insurance they have. If you can’t find anyone, tell the SPCA or the Police as soon as you can.
4. Give your name and address to the owner or driver of any car that’s been damaged and to the owner of any property that’s been damaged.
5. If other drivers are involved, try to find out whether they’re insured and who they’re insured with.
6. Don’t admit that the accident was your fault – it is important to look at all the available information following the stress of the accident. You may later find out other reasons why the accident occurred.
7. Notify the Police when you are required to by law.
On arrival we will gather all vehicle, owner and insurance details, and assist with your claim if required. We will inspect your vehicle to determine the repair cost and parts required.
Your insurance company will assess the damage and confirm the best repair method or solution for your claim. All parts will be confirmed and ordered, and the repair procedure will be finalised.
Assessment outcome advised. A time is arranged for your vehicle to be repaired and estimated time for completion advised. We will also give you the option of hiring one of our loan vehicles.
Repairs begin as discussed. We will contact you at the earliest point in time if your vehicle repair is likely to exceed the time given, explain why and advise a new expected time.
Upon completion we will perform a final repair check and groom of your vehicle to ensure best quality workmanship, and that we are completely satisfied before it is returned to you.
We will contact you as soon as your vehicle is available for collection. Please be ready to pay your excess, if required, and settle any other due accounts.
